After a string of incomplete and dropped passes at inopportune times, the New York Giantsfinally managed to score a touchdown in the second quarter against the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, they head into halftime trailing by a score of 14-10.
The Dolphins have managed to put together a couple of surprising and successful drives in the first half, with Matt Moore passing for 64 yards and contributing a rushing touchdown.Reggie Bush has also helped Miami with six carries and 46 yards.
Giants QB Eli Manning has thrown for 186 yards and is 18-for-26 on passing attempts. However, through much of the first half, his eight incomplete passes have come during key conversion attempts. Manning was finally able to find Mario Manningham in the end zone to bring the Giants within four points with only 0:12 remaining in the second quarter.
It's difficult to imagine that this is how the Giants envisioned the first half going against the winless Dolphins. They'll need to be more consistent in the second half on both sides of the ball.
